August Birch Box

This will be my last Birch Box. I just prefer ipsy to BB. First, I prefer more makeup products than lifestyle products. Second, I find the brands to be more accessible with ipsy. Third, I know people who also get ipsy and I can totally do a tradsies with them on products we don't want/need. Speaking of that anyone want the It's a 10 Leave in Conditioner? I don't use leave in cond because it makes my fine hair feel greasy by the end of the day.

Here is what I got this month
 

Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45+

Evens out skin tone, has antiaging benefits, and gives you broad spectrum protection. I can't wait to use this. So far, I have enjoyed BB creams, but haven't found the "perfect" one for me.

Jasmine Seven™ Wipes

Alcohol free towelettes that cleanse and soften with vitamin E, peppermint, and aloe. These are for the feet. Meh. At least your feet won't stink?

TanTowel® Classic Formula Self-Tan Towelettes Half Body

A streak free self-tanning wipe for fair to medium tans. I do use self-tanners, so I will try this the next go round to see how well it works on my dry skin.

ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick Trio

A semi-matte lipstick that delivers both hydration and lasting pigment. I got this in Kitty and LOVE IT! Makes your lips feel soft and the color is subtle and beautiful!

It's a 10® Miracle Leave-In Product

A 10-in-one treatment that addresses the spectrum of hair damage, from brittleness to frizz. I won't use this since leave in products with this consistency make my hair greasy towards the end of the day.  

June Birchbox

Has anyone tried Birchbox yet? This is my third month getting it and I am finding it hit or miss. I also receive Ipsy, which is the exact same concept. I'll let you know what I get in my June Ipsy when it gets here :) I'm trying to decide which I'd rather subscribe to so they each get a few months of my hard earned cash money.

This month in my Birchbox, I received a Birchbox Color Club nail polish in London Calling, Juicy Couture's Couture La La, Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick, stila face the day moisturizing gel cream, and Violet Oasis Therapeutic Body Butter.

So far, I've tried all of the sample except the body butter. By try, I mean put them on immediately and I've worn them since.

The perfume smells like a doctors office. No joke, I put it on and the Mister told me I smelled like a maxi pad. Then he said, no just rubbing alcohol. Here I was waiting to experience the bliss of being a little punk rock, a lot of free spirit, classic Juicy. I eagerly awaited blends of bright sparkling mandarin with bold white florals. Instead, I get maxi pad. And don't ask how the Mister knows what a maxi pad smells like.

The lipstick is the shiz! I heart it. It is a soft pink color that goes well with any makeup you chose. It doesn't dry out your lips (which I struggle with) and lasts for hours. The nail polish is billed as a neon pastel, which is def is. For a mint polish, I prefer my Ice mint nail polish that I get for $2 bucks at Wal-Mart. The color is more like the upper right hand picture. What do you think?
